 The menu of choices in Aruba's abundance of restaurants soothes the way to the innate pleasures of dining. Longtime preferences are fully represented as are a multiplicity of specialty cuisines honoring the island's ethnic mix. Expert chefs and experienced restaurateurs provide top-quality imported ingredients, fine wines and other potables in eclectic ambiences while all the while catering to the individual diner.
Although the island is geographically small, Aruba is famous for its large number of eating establishments, whether it be an outdoor terrace, a sidewalk café, chic-in-the-city, seaside and on-the-beach, food malls, elegantly themed, casual cool, neighborhood hideaways and with price ranges considered. The world map is before you: China, Japan, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, just for starters. Often there is medley of international cuisines and, of course, fish and seafood menus galore as varied as the sea offers. Reservations are recommended at most eateries; please cancel if you cannot attend in consideration of both the restaurant and other diners. Many restaurants add a service charge to the bill which is distributed among staff members. An additional tip for excellent service is appreciated.
